Graduation season has arrived in Delta, and for hundreds of students, families, teachers, and supporters, one of the most important milestones of the year is about to take place.

South Delta Secondary School will celebrate its Valedictory and Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026 on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

The annual ceremony marks the culmination of years of academic achievement, personal growth, athletic participation, artistic accomplishments, and community involvement by graduating students. For many graduates, it represents the transition from secondary school into university, college, trades training, careers, travel, and new opportunities ahead.

For families and friends unable to attend in person, the ceremony will also be streamed live online, allowing grandparents, relatives, alumni, and community members to share in this important celebration from anywhere.

Graduation ceremonies remain among the most meaningful traditions in Canadian education, bringing together students, educators, and families to recognize years of hard work and perseverance. Beyond diplomas and awards, the evening celebrates friendships formed, challenges overcome, and the contributions graduates have made to their school and community.
