Delta City News is an independent publication created in February 2026 by George Moen and Launched March 6, 2026 by Robert Skinner.
The project was launched to demonstrate a modern model for rebuilding strong local journalism using:
• community contributors
• AI-assisted publishing systems
• local business partnerships
• digital subscriber growth
Across North America many communities have lost their local newspapers. At the same time, businesses and residents still need reliable local information and stronger connections within their communities.
Delta City News is being developed as a working prototype for a replicable community media model that can be launched in other cities.
The system focuses on:
• structured citizen journalism
• factual, balanced local reporting
• business and economic coverage
• community event visibility
• sustainable revenue through trusted business partnerships
Over the next several years the goal is to refine the model and make it available to qualified publishers interested in launching similar community newspapers in their own regions.
My background includes decades working with business systems, franchise expansion models, and growth-stage companies, which has helped shape the operational structure behind this project.
